These characters are fully player created. You will be able to pick a species from folklore, myth, or even pop culture within limits. At the center of your character there needs to be a reason why they are in Between. An old connection, they grew up here in the 1800’s, the reason is up to you but the reason needs to exist. Having connection to characters currently in game would be beneficial but not necessary–if you do not have connections creating open connections you’re looking to fill ASAP will allow current players to try to jump in and fold your character into the game.
The application needs to be as detailed as possible with abilities, distinctive features, and limitations. You are creating the foundation of these types of characters and mods will be pointing other players to your character for inspiration if there are more than one coming into the game.
For canon purposes please keep in mind regarding Fae:
Fairies are elemental humanoid figures that help balance seasons. Deal with flora and seasonal changes.
Pixies are so tiny they can only hold one emotion at a time. Anger can be explosive. They can fall in love too quickly and can self implode from sadness. Often deals more with fauna than flora.
Sprites are always insectoid creatures, sometimes smaller than pixies, but instead of having a full scope of emotions they tend to be more violent and angry. They often do not magically deal with fauna or flora, nor do they have wings or fly unless their natural counterpart does.
These three Fae creatures sepecifically all can do glamour and create contracts.
No Fae from the courts are playable.
There is no Seelie or Unseelie courts. The courts are seasonal (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter) with a royal hierarchy. Your character should know of them, but not be part of it. No scouts, soldiers, Lords, Ladies, Queens or Kings. Most Fae that choose to come to the mortal realm come because they do not have ties to the courts, otherwise they'd need to be in the court.

Ruin currently has very little Fae magic residue. Fae tends to have complex emotions/relations with The Green and The Stag. Fae would also know that Mercy is currently, basically, ran by Fae and that Between is a bit wary of Fae.
